How It Works
From parking lot to river and back — we handle everything so you can just enjoy the float.
Arrive & Check In
Arrive and head to the yellow building, sign a waiver, and hop on the shuttle.
Shuttle to the Put-In
Hop on our shuttle and we'll drive you upstream to the launch point. Sit back, relax, and get excited — the river is just ahead.
Hit the Water
Drop in and let the Catawba do the work. Drift through 3 miles of gorgeous Carolina scenery, swim in calm pools, and soak up the sun.
Take Out
If you reach the take-out before 7pm, please bring your tubes to the workers at the top of the ramp and they will take them from you. If it is after 7pm we may not be there, so please bring your equipment to the top of the ramp and leave it at the back of the trailer. Bathrooms are available so you can change into dry clothes. The take out is behind the yellow building where you signed up.
What to Expect
Everything that makes a day on the Catawba unforgettable.
2–3 Hours on the Water
The 3-mile float takes about 2 to 3 hours at a relaxed pace, depending on water conditions. Plenty of time to swim, explore, and enjoy. Call (828) 442-6048 to check water conditions.
Open May 21st – September 7th
We run daily from 10am to 3pm with the last launch at 3pm. Perfect summer weather all season long.
Safety First
Life jackets available for all ages. We monitor conditions daily and never launch in unsafe water levels.

No rapids — just a smooth, scenic float perfect for all ages and experience levels.
